About me

I am a recovering entrepreneur, urbanism fellow, grad student, woodworker, partner to an amazing woman and father of two. I serve as the Executive Chair of Justworks, a New York-based tech company I founded in 2013.

Since stepping back as CEO of Justworks in late 2022, I've had more time to explore the world and try to better understand it. I wrote a lot during my time as CEO, and I write a lot now as a grad student. Writing helps me synthesize and clarify ideas—especially the ones that cross domains.

This blog is an extension of that thinking. I hope it’s useful to others who are also curious about how we build better cities and a better world.
